Women We Walk With: Chloe Taylor
PSS Lead Volunteer Coordinator
If you’ve ever met her, you know — she’s the hype girl. The pace-setter. The one cheering the loudest from the sidelines and then jumping in to help carry the load.
Some women carry energy. Chloe sets the pace.
In college, she served as the coxswain of her rowing team — the one at the front of the boat calling cadence, steering direction, and holding the rhythm when everyone else was rowing. It’s a role built on instinct, leadership, and belief. And if you know Chloe, you know that tracks.
She is momentum. A natural encourager. The first to show up. The first to step in.
That’s exactly why she has been appointed as our Lead Volunteer Coordinator — a woman trusted not just to serve, but to help lead and mobilize other women to serve alongside her.
A pilot’s wife. A founder of community for women in the aviation industry. A Broadway-and-country-music dreamer at heart. And yet, when she talks about her life, it always circles back to the same truth: motherhood and homemaking are not a detour from her dreams — they are the dream.
As a peer leader within PSS, Chloe brings heart, initiative, and a deep belief that presence matters most — especially in motherhood.
This marks the very first installment of Women We Walk With, a series highlighting the women shaping our community one mile at a time.
Below, Chloe shares more about her life, leadership, faith, and the rhythm that guides the way she serves.

Getting to Know Chloe
Tell us a bit about you and your household.
Hi! My household is made up of my husband, Aaron — who flies for Southwest Airlines — my baby girl, Jesse Joy (born December 2024), and our dog, Shiner — named after my husband’s favorite beer!
I was born and raised in Michigan — Go Detroit Lions! — and moved to Texas five years ago for my husband’s job.
What did you do before becoming a mom?
Before becoming a SAHM, I was an HR/Office Manager.
What are some of your favorite hobbies and interests (outside of being a mom)?
My favorite hobbies include cleaning and decorating the house while belting Broadway show tunes, playing sports with my hubby, and hosting events!
On Motherhood
How has becoming a mom influenced your personal style or routine?
Becoming a mom has improved my style, I think! Or maybe that just came with age? Haha, I don’t know! I think now that I’m a mom and I hear a lot about postpartum depression and women losing themselves, I’ve been very determined not to feel that way. I make it a point to dress up and put on makeup, even if I’m just at home or running quick errands. If I look great, I feel great!
What’s something you hope your child sees in you as they grow up?
I hope Jesse Joy sees me as a kind, gracious, Godly woman. I hope she sees a servant’s heart and learns the importance of serving others and praising God.
On Leadership + Service
What does it mean to you to be trusted with a leadership role in Plano Stroller Society?
To be trusted with a leadership role in the Plano Stroller Society is such an honor and a sweet surprise! I absolutely love what is being built here and am so excited to take on a role welcoming more mommas to the fold, while emphasizing a heart to serve those in our own backyard. I’m blessed to be appointed for this role and hope to serve everyone well! Ladies, let’s get to helping and providing hope to others!
What draws you to volunteering and serving others, especially in a season of life that’s already so full?
I was raised in a home with a heavy focus on servanthood, and because of that, volunteering and pitching in has become so natural to me. I’m almost always chomping at the bit to help out and usually get bummed out if it’s turned down.
I firmly believe people need other people — that’s a beautiful part of being human. I’m heavily rooted in my Christian faith, and there is a scripture in Matthew 25:35–40 that talks about feeding the hungry and thirsty, clothing the poor, and providing shelter to the homeless — because whatever we do for them, we’ve done for Jesus.
I believe part of my life and testimony is to serve and love people like Christ did. I’m drawn to volunteering because it shows others Christ’s love and hope on the earth. And what an awesome thing that volunteering can help those who receive find hope while also getting their needs met.
When you think about supporting other moms, what matters most?
When it comes to supporting moms, I believe presence matters most. You can never underestimate someone always showing up — or even better, showing up when they’re least expected, but the timing couldn’t be better.
Once someone affirms their presence in a fellow momma’s life, it becomes easier to establish how that relationship works best — considering each person’s preferences, schedule, social battery, and boundaries.
If anyone knows me, I’m not great at planning play dates weeks in advance. I’m more likely to call or text and say, “Want to have a play date today? What time works best?” Even if I’m met with, “Sorry, we can’t today,” I think my friends appreciate the random phone call showing I was thinking of them.
I’ve definitely learned some friends are incredible planners with packed schedules, so I’ve had to cater my interactions accordingly. Similarly, I’m a huge hugger and quick to say “I love you” to new friends! Some people reciprocate that energy, and others are totally stunned — and I note to self, “Definitely not a hugger!” and respect their boundaries next time.
As Volunteer Coordinator, what excites you most about helping build or strengthen this part of the community?
I’m excited about expanding the PSS service sector! I’ve heard it said that “Motherhood is a ministry,” and I couldn’t agree more.
Even during our busy lives and ministry as moms, it’s so special to step aside and volunteer time, resources, and skills to do humble work that affects fellow mommas or charities who are grateful for every ounce of effort put forth.
Even more impactful is that our children get to witness their moms putting others first and taking a back seat to their own life goals. How special that we get to raise the next generation of volunteers and shape their hearts for service!
